MQB evo:
Some Volkswagen models, including the Golf, Passat and Tiguan, have been modernised for 2024. All three models are based on the MQB Evo platform, which supports both traditional and electrified drive systems and is characterised by further digitalisation measures. Particularly noteworthy are the new PHEV options for the Tiguan and Passat, which offer a purely electric range of up to 100 km. The vehicles owe this range to an almost doubled battery capacity. This makes it clear that Volkswagen is clearly focussing on the electrification of its fleet. These advances are complemented by modernised technologies such as DC fast charging and revised touchscreen controls that further enhance user-friendliness. Another highlight is the improved aerodynamics and weight distribution of the MQB Evo platform, which not only reduces fuel consumption but also optimises handling. The new Passat also offers more space and comfort thanks to a longer body and advanced assistance systems that significantly improve the driving experience. The Golf has also been updated, remaining true to mild hybrid technology while being prepared for future electrification levels. The facelift can be recognised by narrower headlights and the new 12.9-inch infotainment with illuminated touch sliders.
This new generation of vehicles is of particular importance to us, as the previous models have been very popular with authorities and emergency services. Due to the modernisation and associated technical changes to the vehicles, our development team has invested a lot of work in adapting new products. For example, a DisplaySwitch was developed for the new infotainment generation (MIB 4) with the 12.9 or 15-inch display, but our classic products such as ADIF, Signalbox and AutoAssist OFF were also adapted for the new vehicles.
MLB evo:
The VW Touareg belongs to the MLB evo series and has also been given a facelift. Externally, the radiator grille, the air intakes in the bumper and the headlights have changed. The plug-in hybrids now also feature active rear-axle steering.

Auto-Assist-OFF
The assistance systems are designed to help avoid dangerous situations, but in emergency scenarios such as pursuits or rescue operations, they can prove to be a hindrance.
Auto-Assist-OFF automatically switches off the following assistance systems when the blue light is activated:
- Emergency Brake Assist
- Automatic start-stop system
- Lane departure warning
You can configure which assistance systems are to be switched off.

RunLock
The adapter enables the secure operation of the engine without a key and also provides the option of locking the vehicle from the outside. This is a vital component in ensuring the continued supply of high-powered electrical systems in vehicles like ambulances.
